Salsa-on-the-Pier 2011
I would like to thank all of you who supported this year's Salsa-on-the-Pier. I am delighted to say that we raised £1900 for The Stroke Association.
So many people helped this event by spreading the word and selling tickets and so many salsa clubs and promoters got behind it too. Your contributions were invaluable and much appreciated.
Much thanks goes to the wonderful Trevor 'Sweetlead' Layne, Heidi Ford, Natasha Bligh and Ramunas Ge for teaching the remarkably oversubscribed classes! You really got the evening off to a flyer :)
A huge thank you goes to the ever excellent Palenke Latin who played a such a superb set and really set a great vibe for the whole evening.
And then there were our stunning cabaret performers: Nasira Belly Dance, Sevillanas Flamenco and the Tanguera Dance Company. Wow, encore, otro!
And last but not least, my thanks to the awesome DJ's who kept the dance floor alive with their fine selections: Magalys, Trevor Pinto and Anthony Hurlock.
mucho gracias salseros y salseras
